Project: ,,IARM′s cooperation with the public sector”

In the period from September to November 2016, in organization of the Institute for Accreditation of the Republic of Macedonia (IARM) took place the implementation of the Project to intensify cooperation with the public sector institutions in the country.
 
There were held three Roundtables, special for Laboratories, Certification bodies and Inspection bodies.
 
The first Roundtable within the project was held on September 15, 2016 and it was designed for the accreditation of laboratories and documents required according to the standards: MKS EN ISO/IEC 17025 and MKS EN ISO 15189.
 
The second Roundtable on the accreditation of certification bodies and documents required under the following standards: MKC EN ISO/IEC 17021, MKC EN ISO/IEC 17065 and MKC EN ISO/IEC 17024, was held on October 13, 2016.
 
The third Roundtable on accreditation of the inspection bodies and documents required under the standards: MKS EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012, was held on November 17, 2016.
 
To participate in the meetings were invited representatives of the following Ministries: for Internal Affairs, for Labor and Social Policy, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, Transport and Communication, Health, Environment, Information Society and Administration as well as the Food and veterinary Agency, Agency for electronic communications, Agency for energy, Directorate for protection and rescue, Directorate for radiation safety, Bureau of public procurement and some public health institutions.
 
On the satisfaction of the participants and the lecturers, the meetings were conducted with interactive discussions where the most important issues for accreditation, from aspect of the work of the relevant public sector entities, were discussed.
 
Considering the quality of the debates, inevitable is the conclusion that the organization of this kind of activity by the IARM ensures the achievement of the primary purpose for which this project was conceived, which in hindsight may also be referred to as its ultimate goal, and that is a proper implementation of the national legislation concerning the requirements for accreditation, as well as proper use of the benefits of accreditation.
 
Certainly it entails the expected effect of providing a smooth functioning of the link route: Economy - bodies of executive power and improving the effectiveness, efficiency and cost-effectiveness in the operation of public services.
 
Finally, we will summarize that, driven by such achievements, the IARM as the only national accreditation body, has got an incentive for further similar activities on the social field that are of mutual interest.
