Information on the implementation of the new standard MKS ISO/IEC 17065:2012

Conformity assessment -- Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services

ISO has published a new standard ISO/IEC 17065:2012 “Conformity assessment - Requirements for bodies certifying products, processes and services”, on 15th of September 2012, replacing the standard MKS EN 45011:2006 “The general criteria for bodies operating product certification systems”.

According to the Resolution of the General Assembly of IAF (International Accreditation Forum) the transition period of the standard is 3 (three) years and ends on 15th of September 2015.

According to the Procedure PR 04-01 “Modification of the requirements for the accreditation”, IARM prepare an action plan for implementation of the changes to the requirements for accreditation under the new standard.

Under the plan, IARM will start performing assessments according to the new standard MKS EN ISO/IEC 17065:2012 by the client’s request from 1st of January 2014 and from 1st of July 2014 all the assessments will be conducted in accordance with the new standard.
