Training: “EU Organic Farming - Criteria for Accreditation by NationalOrganizations”

In the framework of the Regional Project: “Promotion of Regional Cooperation in Southeast Europe in the field of Quality Infrastructure”, IARM in cooperation with the PTB (National Metrology Institute of Germany) organized training on the following topic: “EU Organic Farming - Criteria for Accreditation by NationalOrganizations ” in Skopje from 08-10 May 2013.
The training was opened by the Director of the Institute for Accreditation of the Republic of Macedonia, Ph.D. Trpe Ristoski. A lecturer on this training was Ms Jutta Krawinkel, a representative of GfRS (Resource Protection Company from Germany) and an assessor in the National Accreditation Body of Germany (DAkkS).
Representatives from the national accreditation bodies from: Macedonia (IARM), Serbia (ATS), Montenegro (ATCG), Albania (DA), Kosovo (DAK) and Turkey (TURKAK), representatives from the relevant state institutions from Southeast European countries, as well as representatives from certification bodies of the organic sector, took part on this training.
The objective of the training was: Informing and improving the participants capacities in relation to the EU Regulation 834/2007 on organic farming and its rules on implementation, rules for import of organic product from third countries, accreditation and surveillance of control bodies under the EN 45011 / ISO 65 standard with the scope of organic farming , as well as presenting the challenges and opportunities for the accreditation bodies being involved in accreditation of organic farming .
At the end of the training, the participants were awarded appropriate Certificates.
