Тhe Multilateral Agreement Committee EA-MAC (18th and 19th April in Copenhagen), decided that IARM became an EA-MLA signatory was presented on the conference.
The signing of this Agreement provides that the IARM granted accreditation certificates (testing laboratories, calibration laboratories, inspection and certification of products) shall obtain recognition across Europe and beyond. This shall enable the Macedonian companies to receive equal treatment as the European companies at the markets throughout Europe and beyond. The Agreement for recognition of the accreditation certificates actually means elimination of the technical barriers in trade during exchange of Macedonian and European products.  For these reasons, this agreement is also called "passport for trade" that Macedonian companies have already received.
The greatest benefit of this Agreement shall have the Macedonian export-oriented companies as primarily food industry, the construction industry, all branches of the field of mechanical engineering, environmental protection, testing of drugs, medical laboratories and others.

Furthermore, the signing of this agreement represents a significant improvement in the Macedonian integration processes in Europe.
