Training on assessmant of traceability in testing labs

In the period of 4th to 6th October 2011, IARM in cooperation with German Institute for metrology – PTB, has organized a three day training “Assessment of traceability in testing labs”. Seminar has been organized in the premises of Hotel “Karpos” and it is part of the PTB project for regional cooperation between countries in South East Europe.   
Participants in the training has been assessors, candidate assessors and experts in environmental area from the accreditation bodies of Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia as well.
Lecturer of this seminar has been Thomas Schlüter, lead and technical assessor from Germany.
The purpose of the training has been for the participants to attain knowledge about the assessment of the traceability of the measurement in the testing labs, the way of providing the traceability in measuring, the requirements from the ILAC-G8:03/2003 Guide, ILAC-G24 Guide and the Standard ISO 14253-1:1998 has been presented, which are requirements for external calibration, the way of performance of internal calibration and their assessment from the assessment team. 

At the end of the training, all participants regularly attending the training were awarded a Certificate of Attendance. Acquired knowledge during the training shall provide the participants resolving some issues from the field of calibration of the measurement equipment in the testing laboratories, the way of its assessment, the way of performing internal calibration and how it is fulfill the requirements of the Standard ISO/IEC 17025.
