IARM organized training course for assessors on the Standard EN ISO/IEC 17025:2006
 
In the period between 22th and 24th September 2010, IARM organized a three-day training course for assessors on the Standard EN ISO/IEC 17025:2006. The training took place in the premises of the Training Center of the IARM.
Participants in the training were assessors, candidate assessors and experts from the pool of experts of the IARM, regular employees of the IARM and external associates. As lecturers to the training acted  representatives from the Institute for Accreditation of the Republic of Macedonia (IARM).
The purpose of the training was for the participants to attain knowledge about the requirements in the Standard EN ISO/IEC17025 for testing and calibration laboratory accreditation and Manner/ method of Assessment according to the requirements of the Standard EN ISO/IEC 17025, as well as to introduce the additional requirements as defined in the documents of the regional and international accreditation organizations (EA- European Accreditation Organization and IAF- International Accreditation Forum) and IARM’s documentation as well. In addition, all participants were familiarized with the legal and statutory aspects of accreditation, with the accreditation process itself, the procedure and methodology of assessment and competency requirements of assessors under the IARM.
At the end of the training, all participants regularly attending the training were awarded a Certificate. The aforementioned Certificate accompanied with the acquired knowledge during the training shall provide the participants an opportunity to be engaged as assessors, involved in the assessment activities of the IARM during the accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories, provided they fulfill the remaining set of criteria as defined in the procedures of the IARM on selection, training and assessors performance evaluation.
