IARM signed a memorandum of understanding with the institute for accreditation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BATA)

Тhe Institute for Accreditation of the Republic of Macedonia on the 23rd February 2010, in Sarajevo, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institute for Accreditation of  Bosnia and Herzegovina (BATA).

The Agreement involves cooperation and exchange of information in the area of accreditation between the two institutions, acting according to the principles and norms adopted by the European and international organizations in this area.

Under this Agreement, IARM and BATA shall cooperate in the area of accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories, inspection bodies and certification bodies for products, persons and management systems. The cooperation is to be carried out through exchange of information on activities and documentation in the area of accreditation, joint effort in organizing seminars and conferences, joint staff training, exchange of assessors and technical experts registered in both institutions so as to get a better view of the hands-on accreditation process, implementation of joint assessment and joint participation in organizations in Republic of Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina in the inter- laboratory comparisons.

The signing of this Agreement shall secure continuous cooperation between the Institute for Accreditation of the Republic of Macedonia and the Institute for Accreditation of Bosnia and Herzegovina addressed towards harmonization of the accreditation process in the region through active participation of both accreditation bodies in the promotion of the accreditation process in the two countries.
